Even though this place was not busy when I stopped here for supper with my friends, that was not a testament to the quality of the food. I paid about $20 for the Chicken Marsala dinner. I initially thought that was a bit overpriced until I tasted the dish. Delicious and well prepared. The penne was tender with just enough chew, the chicken was still moist, the mushrooms added good flavor - so good. Added bonus was that I can get about two meals worth out of my leftovers. All of that added up together? Yeah, I would come back here again. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu.
My wife and I ate in for the first time after ordering pizzas and subs as take out a few times, they were fantastic pizzas, and great subs. We had our socks blown off by the new weekend specials! Lobster Lasagna and tortellini alla panna, it was so good, and had a delicious authentic gelato to wrap up dinner and it was the best I've had!
Oh, so Italian! Stopped in on a whim, needing an Italian fix. Thought it would be safe for my celiac wife based on the Gluten Free app but we had no idea what we were in for... Homemade gluten free mozzarella sticks?!? Are you kidding me? As good as any we've ever had and it has maybe been two decades since my wife had any. We shared a cheesesteak and a pizza. Both were excellent. The gluten free roll for the cheesesteak was done perfectly (because if you don't know how to prep a GF roll, it can go really bad). But wait, there's more! My wife had a gluten free chocolate cake and I had a flight of homemade gelato. Yes, you read that right...flight and gelato in the same sentence. So worth it... The food was great but without the owner, Angelo, there, the experience would not have been the same. He really made it the full Italian experience with his hospitality. We will be back...
Love this place! It's a local, comfortable family atmosphere. The food is delicious, especially the pizza! Not to mention, the staff is friendly, welcoming and warm every time. Highly recommend!!!
I learned about Caretti’s after seeing a post featuring their desserts and stopped in for the first time to satisfy my sweet tooth. I thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu topped with cioccolato gelato! And, I learned about their gluten-free selections. I’ll definitely be returning for more than just their exceptional desserts and friendliness.
This restaurant is the best in Chambersburg and the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the country!! The experience, food presentation, the freshness, authenticity, and service are top tier! The owner and staff were super nice and welcoming. Everything from top to bottom was delicious. They go the extra mile to make sure you have the best time! This is a true Italian restaurant experience! I was in town to visit and wish I could take this place with me back home. I can not say enough great things about here!! Thank you so much for making my family and I’s time the best!
We live over 20 minutes from Caretti’s and drive past 5 other pizza shops to get here and it’s worth every mile! Tonight we ordered a Sicilian loaded to the brim and it was nothing short of DELICIOUS. To top it off, this place is always very clean and the staff are pleasant. The owners are wonderful and humble, just happy to be serving their community some fantastic food! PS, if you think the food is good you absolutely need to try the in-house handmade gelato - FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!!
Family friendly atmosphere or perfect for date night. The service was fantastic and was very clean. For us it was amazing because of the many Gluten Free options; my husband has celiacs disease and was so happy to eat out and have so many delicious options (including apps & desserts)! The food was delicious, highly recommend!!
